US Cash Grains-Corn, soy basis flat a harvest slows
Nov 8 (Reuters) -Basis bids for corn and soybeans were steady at elevators, processors and river terminals in a spot check around the U.S. Midwest on Friday, supported by a slowing harvest nearing its finish.
* U.S. soybean futures reached a one-month peak on Friday and corn futures touched more than a four-month high after the U.S. Department of Agriculture lowered its U.S. harvest outlooks for both crops more than expected.
* U.S. farmers grew fewer soybeans and less corn this year than previously expected after late-season dry weather impacted the crops, but supplies of both remain large, the USDA said in its monthly supply and demand report.
* On the CBOT, most-active December corn CZ24 ended 3-1/2 cents higher at $4.31 per bushel. CBOT January soybeans SF25 advanced 4 cents to finish at $10.30-1/4 per bushel.
