Forward rates rise on cold, dry weather view
Nov 7 (Reuters) -Nordic forward power prices rebounded on Thursday, helped by expectations of drier and colder weather in the hydropower-reliant region.
* The Nordic front-quarter baseload power contract ENOFBLQc1 rose 1.05 euros, or 2%, to 54.55 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), as of 1227 GMT.
* The Nordic front-year ENOFBLYc1 gained 0.55 euro, or 1.5%, to 37.75 euros per megawatt hour (MWh).
* Nordic water reserves available 15 days ahead PCAEC00 were seen at 4.67 terawatt hours (TWh) above normal compared with 6.02 terawatt hours (TWh) above normal on Wednesday.
* "The Nordic weather forecasts show colder weather when we get to the end of next week. After temperatures have remained above average for quite some time now, it appears as if colder conditions are on the way," analysts at Energi Danmark said in a note.
* "Today, the market rebounds as forecasts for next week and on look colder, both in the Nordics and on the continent."
* Germany's Cal'25 TRDEBYc1, Europe's benchmark power contract, was up 1.5 euros at 87.09 euros per MWh.
* Dutch and British wholesale prices rose on colder weather forecasts and low wind, but uncertainty remains about the impact of Donald Trump's U.S. presidency on the global gas market. NG/EU
* In the European carbon market CFI2Zc1, the benchmark contract rose by 1.4 euros to 65.14 euros per metric ton.
* "Major wet and windy spells are not likely before the final week of November, but significant colder-than-normal spells are not expected either," Georg Muller, a meteorologist at LSEG, said in a note.
* The Nordic power price for next-day physical delivery FXSYSAL=NPX, or system price, fell 6.23 euros, or 23.13%, to 20.71 euros per megawatt hour (MWh).
