** Heavyweights Infosys INFY.NS, TCS TCS.NS, and Wipro WIPR.NS gained ~4% for the week
** Republican Donald Trump swept back into the White House, although votes are still being counted
** A Trump win could lead to lower corporate taxes - a positive for IT sector as it would boost demand, analysts said
** index gains on the day were boosted by Fed's quarter-point rate cut on Thursday, along with commentary that inflation was nearing 2% target; IT index up ~1% on Friday
** Indian IT firms earn a significant share of revenue from the U.S.
